This bright, textural plant has a long-lasting tropical display, often for months! It thrives in bright light and moist soil (not soggy). After several months of blooming, new plants are grown at the base of the ‘mother’ plant. The mother plant will decline and be replaced by the new baby plants. When babes reach 5 to 6 inches tall they can be cut and transplanted to a new container (recommended 1 per 4” or 6” pot).
LIGHTING
Medium to bright light (avoid direct sunlight.)
WATERING
Water when the top 1 inch of soil is dry to the touch (finger test) + mist regularly during dry months or add water to the center ‘cup’.
SOIL
Prefers a well-draining peat based soil.
FERTILIZER
Apply an acidic plant food once a month at ¼ strength.
