Standard Shipping Methods

Most orders placed on on our website will be shipped to you via UPS Ground. Each product in our marketplace lists an estimated “Shipping Time”. This represents the number of business days that it takes for your order to be processed, packaged and conveyed to UPS (or a comparable carrier) for shipping. Once the order is in the carrier’s possession, you may use the map below to estimate the time in transit to your location. 


Occasionally, depending on projected shipping rates and/or estimated time in transit, we may substitute shipping via United States Postal Service or another comparable parcel delivery service. 


You will receive an email notifying you when your order has shipped. Once your order has shipped, you can check on the status of your order by going to the Account menu and selecting Orders. Type in your Order number and email address see the status of your order.


Gift Card Orders

Gift card orders placed on our website will be processed and shipped via United States Postal Service on the next business day after they are placed. Please allow a minimum of 5 to 7 days for your gift cards to arrive.  



Frequently Asked Questions  


Q: How are your shipping costs calculated?  
A: The shipping cost you are quoted is calculated using several factors including the destination of the order, as well as the weight and size of the items you have ordered. 


Q: Can I have my order shipped to a PO Box?  
A: No – UPS does not deliver to Post Office Boxes.  A valid street address is required for all orders.  


Q: Can I have my order shipped to an APO/FPO Box?
A: Maybe – UPS cannot deliver to APO or FPO addresses, however we are willing to attempt delivery using an alternative shipping method.  Please contact us for more information before placing your order.


Q: Can I pay for faster shipping on my order?  
A: No – At this time we do not offer expedited shipping.  


Q: Do you ship to Hawaii or Alaska?
A: Yes – However, please be advised that the shipping rates are generally significantly higher than shipping to the lower 48 states.  


Q: Do you offer international shipping?  
A: At this time we only offer shipping within the United States.


Q: How can I check on the status of my order?
A: You can check on the status of your order by going to the Account menu and selecting Orders. Type in your Order number and email address see the status of your order.


Q: When I view my tracking info, I don't see my package making any progress?
A: When an order is shipped, the first update to the tracking information sometimes does not occur until the package(s) reaches the parcel delivery service's distribution or sorting center. This usually happens within the first 4 to 8 hours after you receive your tracking number, but can occasionally take slightly longer. Please be patient - your package is on the way!

Once your package is in transit, it may temporarily stop at various sorting points and distribution centers along the way. This is not uncommon and should be expected.


Q: What if my order has been delayed by weather or other circumstances?
A: We do our best to get your order to you as soon as possible. The time in transit that we provide is based off of standard shipping schedules provided by our parcel delivery services. This time is simply an estimate and is not guaranteed by any of our parcel delivery services.

We cannot control occasional delays that may occur due to circumstances beyond our control. Such circumstance include delays due to adverse weather conditions, natural disasters, national or local disruptions in air or ground transportation networks, or other emergency conditions. Stein's Garden & Home and our parcel delivery services will not be held responsible for any shipping delays that occur as a result of the above circumstances, and refunds are not available in those situations.
